The Gambia Experience has expanded its programme with a new Saturday charter flight from Gatwick to Banjul.
The service is with new airline partner Ascend Airways and is in addition to the operator’s existing Tuesday and Friday departures, giving agents more choice and flexibility.
Passengers on the first flight of the season were greeted at Banjul International Airport by The Gambia Experience resort team, local drummers and dancers, Minister of Tourism and Culture Abdoulie Jobe, senior members of the Gambia Tourism Board and British High Commissioner Harriet King.
Next year’s programme runs through to the end of April 2026. Flights are available from Gatwick and Manchester.
The Gambia Experience Product Manager Karen Durham said: “We’re thrilled to celebrate our first flight with our new partner airline and weekend service. Extending the season with additional flights and holidays gives our trade partners even more options to offer their customers. The welcome event reflects the authentic cultural experiences that make The Gambia so special.”
