MYTHOS MOZART attraction marks composer’s 270th birthday

Vienna’s MYTHOS MOZART is highlighting the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart through its immersive multimedia attraction.

The attraction in Austria’s capital is celebrating the composer’s life and marking his 270th anniversary today (27 January).

MYTHOS MOZART opened in 2022 and combines classical music with interactive technologies to bring Mozart’s world to life for visitors.

It is located at the historic site where Mozart composed ‘The Magic Flute’, the ‘Clarinet Concerto’ and his ‘Requiem’, and spent his final year before passing away at the property.

MYTHOS MOZART offers a one-hour immersive experience through five interactive rooms.

Highlights include a 45-metre 360-degree animation recreating 1790s Vienna, 1,500 LED candles to play homage to the sounds of Mozart’s final composition, an interactive performance of ‘A Little Night Music’ using instruments from around the world, and AI-generated digital art by Turkish-American artist Refik Anadol honouring ‘The Magic Flute’.

The venue is located at Kärntner Strasse 19 in Vienna’s first district and is a five-minute walk from St Stephen’s Cathedral.

The attraction is open seven days a week and accommodates groups of up to 36 people with tours starting every 10 minutes. Audio guides are available in six languages free of charge, and group discounts are offered for the travel trade.

Throughout 2026 the attraction will have various ticket promotions, including around Valentine’s Day and Easter.
