Wizz Air is expanding its new ‘premier’ service across its entire network after ‘overwhelmingly positive’ feedback during a trial period.
The budget airline launched Wizz Class last month for passengers in the front row, who benefit from an empty middle seat to give them more space, as well as priority boarding, a 10kg carry-on bag allowance, a snack and a non-alcoholic drink.
Initially, the service, which was designed to attract business travellers, was only offered on select flights to and from six European airports, including Gatwick and Luton, but it is now going to be introduced across the airline’s entire network.
The service costs from €50 in addition to a passenger’s Smart or Plus bundle fare.
Commercial Officer Silvia Mosquera said: “After testing Wizz Class at six or our bases and receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, it became clear that passengers – especially business travellers – value the extra comfort and space this service provides.
“Even with the limited initial rollout, demand exceeded our expectations. That’s why we’re now extending Wizz Class across the network, giving more customers access to additional room and convenience while staying true to our efficient single-class model.”
