Wizz Air plans to operate an extra four weekly flights between London and Sharm El Sheikh from 6 March.
The airline said the additional flights will help passengers who need to travel to and from Israel while flights between London and Tel Aviv remain grounded.
Wizz, along with other airlines, has been forced to temporarily suspend flights to several countries in the Middle East, including Israel, due to the ongoing air strikes. The suspensions are in place up to and including 7 March.
It said: “While these restrictions limit immediate operations, Wizz Air is taking steps to support customers whose travel plans have been disrupted.
“The airline is preparing recovery options to help passengers reach their original destinations as soon as conditions allow, working closely with aviation authorities and airport partners to secure safe operating windows and routes.”
Wizz is laying on extra flights to Sharm from Budapest, Rome, Milan and Sofia as well as from London Luton, subject to regulatory approval.
From Luton, it said it will increase from four to eight weekly flights.
“These additional flights create more options for passengers affected by the suspension of direct services to and from Israel and will provide the best opportunity for connection between Israel and Europe,” it said.
