Winners of inaugural Travel Gossip Awards revealed

Classic Collection and Jet2 have walked away with three gongs each at the inaugural Travel Gossip Awards.

The awards were presented on Tuesday evening at The Travel Celebration 2023, held in central London.

The event, hosted by TV presenter Steph McGovern, was attended by 200 guests from the travel industry, including eight lucky Golden Ticket winners.

Classic Collection was awarded Favourite Luxury Operator, Favourite Supplier Call Centre and Favourite Trade Sales Team.

Jet2.com was named Favourite Airline, while Jet2holidays was awarded Favourite Short-Haul Tour Operator and Favourite Travel Brand.

You can see the list of all the winners below, including the first Travel Gossip Legend, Travelpack’s Vishal Patel, who said he was ‘incredibly honoured and proud’ to be the first recipient of the award.

“It feels extra special considering all the nominees, they are all legends in my eyes,” he added. “I am eternally grateful for all the opportunities afforded to Travelpack and all those who voted for me.

“A big thank you to the entire Travelpack team, this would never have been possible without their hard work and support.”

All of the awards were voted for by travel agents.

Classic Collection Regional Sales Manager Bryony Boulter said the operator was particularly proud to have won best trade sales team.

“The past two years our trade presence has been really good, and agents have fed that back,” she added.

“We’ve taken on board agents’ feedback. We want to thank our agents because we would not be here without them.”

Jet2holidays Head of Trade Alan Cross said: “We are delighted to triumph at the inaugural Travel Gossip Awards and be named Best Airline, Best Short Haul Operator and Agents Favourite Travel Brand.

“Winning three awards is a huge achievement and goes to show that our hard work in delivering the very best product and service is working.
