Windstar to operate first full winter season in Canaries

Windstar Cruises will operate its first-ever full winter season in the Canary Islands with nine 10-day sailings between November 2025 and February 2026.

Its packages include flights, overseas transfers and a pre-cruise hotel stay.

The 10-day Canary Island Idyll is round-trip from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and calls in San Sebastian de la Gomera, Santa Cruz de Palma, Madeira (overnight), Lanzarote and Las Palmas (overnight).

The cruises will be on Windstar’s newly-renovated sailing ship, Wind Star, which accommodates 148 guests.

Head of Sales Augustus Lonsdale said: “The Canary Islands have long been a preferred winter sun destination for UK travellers.

“With these new fly-cruise packages our guest can enjoy the best of the region with limited sea days, whilst also going off the beaten track to the lesser known and less crowded areas that Windstar specialises in, with only 148 fellow adventurous guests.”

There are nine departures of the Canary Island Idyll on 29 November, 19 and 29 December 2025; and 8, 18 and 28 January and 7 and 17 February 2026, with fly-cruise prices from £3,599 per person.
