Wendy Wu Tours is to expand its trade team by recruiting two new Business Development Managers.
One new member will cover the North West and the other will cover Scotland. Until now, both regions have been covered by Key Account Manager Sandra Foreman (pictured), who has been promoted to the newly created position of National Account Manager.
When the new recruits join, there will be seven people in Wendy Wu’s UK on-the-road trade team.
The expansion follows a 35% year-on-year growth in sales for the operator in the North and Scotland, compared to its national average of 20%.
Head of Trade Sales Gary King said: “Without our trade partners, there is no Wendy Wu Tours. Agents have fuelled the biggest growth in our history – and this expansion is for them, by them. A bigger team means more support, and more support means more sales.
“By splitting the north and Scotland, creating specialist BDMs, and appointing a National Account Manager in Sandra, we’re putting the trade first and giving every agent the time, tools, and tailored campaigns they need to succeed. Whether you’re in Glasgow, Manchester, or London, we’ll be right there with you, shoulder-to-shoulder, driving your business forward. This is the most exciting chapter yet for our trade partners.”
