Visit Florida is hosting its own Florida Huddle UK & Ireland in September, after deciding not to participate in this year’s World Travel Market (WTM).
The two-day event will take place in Bishopsgate from 22-23 September and Visit Florida plans to bring 16 destinations over to meet with agents, tour operators and media.
Visit Florida Chief Marketing Officer Brett Laiken said: “WTM is a really great show, but is less and less US-based. In 2024 we were one of four US destinations there and we had partners there who asked if there was a way Florida can have its own stage.
“By doing it, it allows our partners to bring their partners over – we have a few destinations that have never been before such as Martin County. It really is such a great opportunity to get in front of the trade.”
A WTM London spokesperson said: “WTM London continues to attract an extremely strong contingent of exhibitors from every corner of the globe, who find the event an invaluable platform to do business, network and to learn about the latest trends.”
WTM London also confirmed it is sponsoring next month’s Visit USA Summer Affair.
“Feedback from both our buyers and visitors tells us that there is strong demand to see US product at the show and WTM is delighted to support the Visit USA Summer Affair taking place next month. We’re very much looking forward to hosting a large USA contingent at what will be the biggest WTM London yet,” the spokesperson added.
