Virgin Voyages has unveiled its first Scandinavia and Baltics programme for summer 2028, with Valiant Lady set to homeport in Amsterdam for the first time.
The line will operate six sailings between July and September 2028, ranging from seven to 12 nights, featuring 15 maiden ports.
The programme includes four roundtrip voyages from Amsterdam, including an Arctic Circle itinerary, alongside two Western Europe routes. It will mark Virgin Voyages’ biggest-ever European season, with 16% more sailings than in 2027 and 41% more than in 2026.
Agents booking any of the six sailings will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a place on the voyage of their choice, with additional entries awarded for each qualifying booking.
The incentive will run from 13 August to 30 September 2026, with agents also receiving double First Mate Loot worth £10 per Scandinavia and Baltics booking.
The season will open with a 10-night Western Europe sailing departing Barcelona on 9 July, calling at Casablanca, Lisbon, La Coruña in Spain and Cherbourg before arriving in Amsterdam.
A 12-night Scandinavia and Stockholm Overnight voyage will depart Amsterdam on 19 July, visiting Oslo, Copenhagen, Gdynia for Gdansk, Stockholm with an overnight stay, Warnemünde for Berlin and Aarhus.
The first roundtrip Norwegian Fjords sailing will depart Amsterdam on 31 July for seven nights, calling at Molde, Nordfjordeid, Flåm and Bergen.
A further seven-night Scandinavia and Hamburg itinerary will depart Amsterdam on 7 August, visiting Oslo, Copenhagen and Hamburg.
The 11-night Arctic Circle and Norwegian Fjords voyage will call at Tromsø and Honningsvåg. It will then cross the Arctic Circle with an onboard ceremony and midnight sun deck party, offering agents a ‘real bucket list booking opportunity’, the line said.
The season will conclude with a 10-night Western Europe sailing departing Amsterdam on 25 August, calling at Cherbourg, La Coruña, Lisbon and Tangier before arriving in Barcelona.
Bookings open to travel agents on 13 August 2026 at 5am, and will be advertised to the general public the following day.
Virgin Voyages is also offering a Summer Season Pass covering the four consecutive Amsterdam roundtrip sailings, over 37 nights, between 19 July and 14 August.
The package includes a Central Sea Terrace cabin, onboard drinks credit, dining reservation access, complimentary shore excursions, enhanced wifi, laundry service and priority boarding.
Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu said: “One of the things that’s most exciting about seeing more Sailors [customers] come back to us year after year is that it gives us the confidence to keep expanding into new parts of the world.
“Northern Europe felt like the right next step, and we’ve built these voyages around the kinds of experiences that make people fall in love with a destination, from the fjords and Baltic capitals to sailing beneath the midnight sun.”
