Virgin Voyages has launched a new groups programme for agents, which the cruise line said will simplify group bookings.
The new programme, part of Virgin Voyages ‘Brilliant for You’ trade commitment, allows agents to hold up to 75 cabins without a deposit. Groups are split into Small Groups (8–16 cabins with a 120-day recall period) and Large Groups (17–75 cabins with a 150-day recall period).
Agents can earn either one free cabin per 16 sold or 2% extra commission.
For groups created before 30 June, Virgin Voyages is offering a launch incentive, reducing the threshold to one free cabin per 12 bookings, instead of the usual 16. Alternatively, agents can still choose the 2% commission.
Fares and promotions are locked when the group is created and guests will receive a group bar tab per cabin of $50, $100 or $200 depending on voyage length.
A new group dining concierge allows up to three reserved dinners across signature restaurants, depending on voyage length and availability, an enhancement from the previous offering, which allowed one dining experience in a single restaurant.
Virgin Voyages UK Director of Sales SJ Walker said: “This new programme delivers the simplicity, flexibility and earning potential that group organisers need.
“The ability to hold cabins without deposits, lock in pricing from day one and choose between enhanced commission or free cabin rewards gives agents greater confidence to grow their business.
“Combined with clear tier structures and an attractive launch incentive, this programme demonstrates our genuine commitment to supporting First Mates and driving group sales success.”
