USAirtours commits to paying higher wages despite NICs blow

USAirtours has been accredited by the Living Wage Foundation as a Real Living Wage employer.

This ensures that everyone in the company is paid a basic salary that is over 10% more than the current National Minimum Wage.

The trade-only US specialist said it has also incorporated a working from home allowance of £100 a month into all salaries, and it has doubled available commission for its sales team.

“Despite the significant jump in the employer’s national insurance contribution from April, we wanted to signal both to our current team how much we value them, as well as being an attractive employer for future talented staff,” said founder and CEO Guy Novik.

The company has now expanded beyond its pre-COVID headcount to 85 staff and last year was externally assessed by Investors in People and certified at their Gold Standard.
