Two travel companies have ceased trading as ATOL holders and have been dissolved.
The Civil Aviation Authority said Simply Florida Travel Ltd and Asiara UK Ltd ceased trading as ATOL holders this week, on 20 and 21 January respectively.
Simply Florida was set up in 2024. The CAA said: “The company, based in Glasgow, traded under the names Simply Florida Travel and website www.simplyfloridatravel.com
“Simply Florida Travel Ltd operated under a franchise arrangement with The Travel Trust Association (‘TTA’). Consumers who require assistance regarding their booking, should contact TTA directly by emailing [email protected].”
Companies House records show the business was dissolved on 6 January.
Asiara UK, based in Ipswich, traded under the names Asiara Holidays and website www.asiara-holidays.com, specialising in tailor-made and small group tours to Asia.
The business was set up in 2022 and dissolved on 13 January.
The CAA said: “Asiara UK Ltd operated under a franchise arrangement with Protected Trust Services (‘PTS’). Consumers who require assistance regarding their booking, should contact PTS directly by emailing [email protected].”
PTS Managing Director Emma Collis told Travel Gossip the company was operating tours to Vietnam but decided to wind down the business from August last year before it officially dissolved two weeks ago. She said there are no forward bookings.
