The number of foreign visitors to Turkiye dropped 4% in June to 5.54 million, according to official figures from the country’s Ministry of Tourism.
It was the second straight monthly decline, following a 3.58% drop in May.
The slowdown was driven largely by weaker demand from both the UK, which was down 13.8%, and Germany, down 11.3%.
Poland, another of the top five source markets, also saw a dip of 3%.
Visitor numbers from Russia edged up 2.13%, while Iranian visitors were up 68.17%.
Europe remained the largest source market overall, accounting for almost half of all arrivals in June.
Asia followed at 13.84%, with Africa and the Americas contributing 2% and 0.78% respectively.
On the ground, Antalya and Istanbul continued to dominate as Turkiye’s most visited destinations, drawing 36% and 30% of all foreign arrivals respectively – together accounting for well over half of the country’s inbound tourism.
