TUI has added Cairo to its city breaks programme, saying the move was in response to rising demand for winter sun and cultural escapes, together with its ‘continued confidence’ in Egypt.
City break packages are available for various durations, with flights from London Heathrow, Manchester and London Gatwick on British Airways, EgyptAir and easyJet.
TUI is offering a selection of hotels in Cairo and nearby Giza with optional experiences including guided tours, Nile cruises, and museum visits.
Commercial Director Chris Logan said:” We’re seeing a clear trend for UK travellers seeking winter sun closer to home. Cairo is the perfect combination of culture, history, and mild winter temperatures, and it provides excellent value compared with long-haul alternatives.
“It’s a destination our trade partners can confidently promote to clients seeking memorable, shorter-haul winter breaks.”
Red Sea Holidays also announced this week that it is now offering a three-night Cairo add-on for customers travelling to Red Sea destinations of Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh.
