TUI grants agent’s request for packages from regional airport

TUI has launched summer 2025 package holidays from Newquay Airport following a request from a local agent who said customers were asking for more choice and flexibility.

Bryony Penberthy, from Newells Travel in Newquay, told TUI she – and colleagues at Newells’ 10 other branches in Cornwall – were seeing pent-up demand, and the operator has responded with packages to Alicante, Malaga, Faro and Dusseldorf.

Flights to Alicante, Malaga and Faro are with Ryanair, operating up to four times a week. The Dusseldorf flight, which operates twice a week, is with Eurowings and features hotels in TUI’s city breaks programme.

Bryony, who is also The Travel Network Group Regional Sales Manager South, said: “We’re really excited to see TUI now offering holidays from Newquay. It’s a fantastic move that reflects the feedback from our teams on the ground, who’ve seen clear demand from customers wanting more choice and convenience from their local airport.

“This change means we can now offer our customers more flexibility with the trusted TUI holiday experience, with our fantastic accommodation range without the need to travel long distances. It’s a real win for our stores and for Cornwall.”

TUI Director of Retail, Omnichannel and Third Party Sales Jill Cunningham said: “Offering wider choice and flexibility has been an essential part of our plans for some time and we know how much customers value flying from their local airport.

“I’d like to send a special thanks to Bryony and her colleagues in Cornwall for bringing the opportunity in Newquay to our attention and for working with us to help secure her customers more flexible holiday options.”
