TUI is launching a winter route from Newcastle Airport to Sofia in Bulgaria this December.
Flights will operate on Saturdays from 20 December 2025 and are available as part of Crystal Ski Holidays packages and on a flight-only basis.
The new route will complement existing Gatwick, Dublin, Manchester and Birmingham services.
TUI UK&I Commercial Director Chris Logan said: “Due to strong customer demand, we are excited to introduce a brand-new route to Sofia. The Bulgarian ski resorts have always been a popular choice with Crystal customers, and we’re pleased to make the destination even more accessible for travellers from Newcastle and the North of England.”
Crystal Ski Holidays is offering a week’s half-board holiday from Newcastle to Sofia, staying at the four-star hotel Lion Bankso, from £618 per person, based on two sharing.
