Travellers warned of general strike in Spain this month

Travellers to and from Spain could face disruption next Wednesday (11 November) when a 24-hour nationwide general strike takes place.

Called by unions CCOO and UGT, the walkout is being held ahead of the 29 November General Election in protest at housing costs, wages and working conditions.

The Majorca Daily Bulletin reports flights could be cancelled or delayed, noting that previous strikes in Spain have involved airport ground staff, air traffic controllers and cabin crew.

There are no confirmed reports of cancellations at the time of writing.
