The number of new travel job vacancies, placements and candidates all rose last month, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
This was the second time this year that all three metrics have risen in the same month.
There was a 49% rise in new travel job vacancies in September, with new vacancies at their highest total in seven months.
September’s figure was the best since February, although it was down 23% year-on-year.
There was also a 4% monthly rise in candidates being placed in new travel jobs, although the figure dipped by 14% compared to the same month last year.
There was a 2% increase in the number of candidates searching for new travel jobs last month, although total number of candidates in September 2024 dropped 13% from September 2024.
C&M Managing Director Barbara Kolosinska said: “After the summer holiday distractions of July and August, September traditionally marks the start of a busier period for travel recruitment – and that’s exactly what we’ve seen this year. Vacancies, candidates and placements have all risen which is a great indication that we are heading in the right direction for the rest of 2025.
“In particular, the 49% monthly jump in new travel job vacancies is extremely welcome. This big increase means there are a wealth of fantastic new opportunities currently available, and we are already seeing this result in an increase in new jobseekers searching for roles in the travel industry in October.”
