Travel Gossip has promoted three members of its team in the first of a series of changes under new Managing Director Anwar Sohawon.
Co-Editors Linsey McNeill and Lisa James, who set up Travel Gossip’s news service four years ago, and Laura Clark, who runs Travel Gossip’s AI-powered training platform Agent Intelligence, have been given new positions.
Linsey has become Editor-in-Chief, taking on an expanded brief working more strategically with Anwar and the commercial team, while Lisa becomes Managing Editor, overseeing news content, working with reporters Kelly Ranson and Hope Brotherton, who joined last week.
Laura, who joined as Training and Development Manager for Agent Intelligence in October 2024, is now Head of Insights, Training & Development.
Anwar said: “With the success and growth of the editorial team, I’m thrilled with the promotion of Lisa James to Managing Editor and Linsey McNeill to Editor-in-Chief.
“Lisa and Linsey have been integral in building Travel Gossip’s news into a fully-fledged, credible, travel trade media news outlet, which is a firm favourite among Travel Gossip’s travel agent community and suppliers too. I’m excited for the future as we invest in our editorial team and launch new editorial products.
“Laura Clark, our AI-powered sales training and coaching platform champion, will be taking on the new role of Head of Insights, Training & Development, as demand for our powerful market research projects increases, which help travel companies understand perceptions of their brand, products, where they sit in their competitive set and help shape their B2B marketing strategies in this ever-changing travel agent landscape.”
Linsey said: “I am absolutely delighted to step into the new role of Editor-in-Chief. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and, with such a fantastic team, I can’t wait to see what more we can do.”
