Gold Medal won three accolades and Maldives walked away with two at the third annual Travel Gossip Awards.
The awards were presented on Tuesday evening at The Travel Celebration 2025, held at The Peninsula Hotel in central London and hosted by comedian Troy Hawke, with an after-party by Barrioke.
Gold Medal took home trophies for Favourite Long-Haul Operator, Favourite Trade Sales Team and Favourite Trade Brand, while Jet2holidays was named Favourite Short-Haul operator.
Maldives was voted Favourite Bucket List Destination and Favourite Romantic Destination.
Typically Travel Managing Director Daniele Broccoli won the Travel Gossip Legend award.
Other winners included Virgin Voyages, Riviera Travel, Bedsonline and Tourism Australia.
Gold Medal Head of Trade Karen Fletcher said: “It feels absolutely amazing to be voted best by the agents in three categories. Our agents mean everything to us, we are truly B2B and for them to support us back is absolutely incredible.”
Kate Bifield, Destination Director of SLC Representation, which represents Maldives in the UK, said: “It’s an honour to have won again at the Travel Gossip Awards. It really does mean a lot, especially when the awards are for bucket list and romantic destinations – that is the ultimate for the Maldives.
“To be recognised by agents really is huge. We are under no illusion how important it is to be regarded and recognised by the trade, so thank you so much!”
Daniele said: “This means so much to me. I can’t quite believe it as I was up against some strong competition. I’m grateful to every single agent who voted. It’s been a great night and winning this award has topped it off.”
