Travel Counsellors has launched an interactive itineraries tool to provide customers with a more immersive and engaging way to explore travel plans.
The tool has been designed to ‘transform traditional, static travel documents into visually rich, multimedia itineraries’, enabling counsellors to present quotes in a more personalised and compelling way.
The interactive itineraries blend storytelling, imagery and practical travel tips to help inform customers. It also includes destination content based on Travel Counsellors’ in-house travel booking platform, Phenix.
Developed in-house over the past 12 months, the tool is being rolled out to 2,000 travel counsellors following a successful pilot.
“It was great to be among the first to try out the new interactive itinerary feature. I’ve already used it to send my first quotes, and the response from clients has been amazing,” says Travel Counsellor Vanessa de Vere.
Vanessa added: “One standout example was a complex New Zealand itinerary for a brand-new client. I guided them through it all over the phone, as they’d just signed up to myTC and they booked with me immediately.”
Travel Counsellors’ Chief Technology Officer Jon Bauer (pictured) said: “We’re excited to introduce our interactive itineraries feature, representing another step forward in how we use technology to enhance the personal touch that our Travel Counsellors offer.
“By reimagining traditional itineraries as dynamic, content-rich journeys, we’re not only improving customer engagement but also giving our business owners back valuable time, enabling them to focus on what they do best – building strong, lasting relationships with their customers and clients.”
