Trafalgar guests named as godmothers of its first river ships

Trafalgar has announced that two of its past guests will be godmothers of its first two river ships, Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie.

The two ships will launch on the Danube and Rhine in April 2026.

Trafalgar said it has chosen Cassandra Estrella-Roca from the US and Kate McIntosh from Australia as godmothers in a ‘refreshed approach’ to the tradition.

It said their ‘authenticity, loyalty, and enthusiasm reflect the traveller-first philosophy behind Trafalgar’.

Kelly Jackson, Managing Director, Trafalgar EMEA said: “Our river cruise product has been built around the idea that travel should feel personal, joyful, and shaped by the people who experience it.

“Cassie and Kate reflect everything our brand stands for, including warmth, connection, and a genuine love for discovery. Having them bless Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie is a meaningful way to begin this new chapter on the rivers of Europe.”

Cassie will serve as godmother of Trafalgar Verity, which will debut on the Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam itinerary from 12-21 April 2026.

Based in California, Cassie has explored destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Trafalgar said she was selected ‘for the energy and optimism she brings to every journey’.

“She is known for sharing her travels with strong social engagement, often encouraging others to experience the ease and connection of guided travel,” it added.

Kate will serve as godmother of Trafalgar Reverie, which will launch on the Best of the Danube itinerary from 11-18 April 2026.

Based in Melbourne, Kate has travelled with Trafalgar for many years and is known for embracing solo travel and the room share programme.

Both godmothers will sail on their respective inaugural voyages and will participate in select launch season activities.
