Peter Gregory has joined Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) as its London-based Trade Manager, UK and Northern Europe.
In his new role, Pete will take the lead on trade initiatives throughout the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Benelux.
Pete said agents will form a ‘core part’ of his focus.
“Within the UK, the importance of travel agents is clear, and I will be a main contact for agents who book Queensland, and Australia more widely,” he said.
“Whether organising and hosting fams, attending roadshows, planning agent events, or simply providing education and insight to inspire, I will be on hand to showcase our finest experiences and assist our hardworking Aussie specialists, and those who are yet to sell our destination.
“I look forward to building on existing relationships, and to continue shining a light on the unique landscapes, experiences, and cultures found in Queensland.”
Peter was previously Training and Events Manager at the London PR and communications agency Rooster.
In his new role, he replaces Sarah Thomson.
