Wayfairer Travel has announced it has cancelled all bookings ‘until further notice’.
The Bristol-based luxury tour operator, a member of ABTOT, sold direct-to-customer itineraries across Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
A Wayfairer Travel spokesperson said: “We are truly sorry for the concern and uncertainty caused by the current situation. Wayfairer Travel has currently suspended all services until further notice.
“At this stage, we are unable to provide further information until we have received the appropriate accounting and legal advice. These discussions are currently under way, and we expect to provide a formal update during the week commencing 31 August.
“We appreciate your patience and sincerely apologise that we cannot provide greater clarity at this time.”
ABTOT has instructed customers not to travel on Wayfairer Travel bookings departing on or before 30 September 2026. Those departing after that date have been advised to await further information unless contacted directly with different instructions.
An ABTOT statement said: “ABTOT has been advised that Wayfairer Travel Limited has informed customers that certain booked travel arrangements may not be provided and that customers due to travel within the affected period should not travel. In light of the information currently available, ABTOT is commencing a claims process for affected customers whose protected travel arrangements are not provided.”
