Agents in the North East of England are being reminded there’s still time to nominate themselves or a colleague in The Travel Agent Awards at next year’s Geordie Ball.
Travel Gossip announced in June it had acquired the legendary Geordie Ball and sister event the South West & Wales Ball and is incorporating agent awards at a regional level at both events.
The Geordie Ball will take place on Thursday 5 March 2026 at Gosforth Park, Newcastle. It will be a black-tie gala event bringing together 250 guests, including 200 of the region’s top-performing travel agents.
There are 16 awards, with separate categories celebrating the best agents in sectors such as touring and adventure, luxury, group travel and weddings and honeymoons.
Agents can also win awards for best use of social media, best shop window display, and best marketing campaign.
Other award categories include Cruise Agent of the Year, Team Leader of the Year and New Agent of the Year.
Hayley Morris, Head of Trade Partnerships at Newmarket Travel, which is the headline sponsor of the awards, said: “We look forward to being a part of delivering a great night of recognition, celebration, and entertainment.”
The awards are open to all agents in the North East and contenders have until 10 October 2025 to get their entries in.
