Sunlounger Travel plans to launch two new branches later this year, with the first opening in Huntingdon in June.
The independent is looking for staff to join the team at Huntingdon, which will be its fifth branch. Sunlounger already has shops in Kings Lynn, Wisbech, Milton Keynes and Gloucester.
Managing Director Iain Kirkbright and his wife Sally told Travel Gossip: “We’re looking for experienced people to come in on board, initially.
“We are looking for an experienced person who can come on and take on the Branch Manager role. They will build their team with the support of our retail development manager, Nikki Winsor, who will be helping assist in getting the store set up and running.
“Apprentices will come down the line, once we have the core team in place.”
Iain added: “We are hoping to open the store in the early part of June. We want to get people into the business as early as possible, so they’re ready for when the doors do open.”
Sunlounger Travel is also hoping to open its sixth store later this year.
Iain added: “Branch number six will probably come later this year as well. There’s also a possibility of number seven this year. We’re always on the lookout and if we find the right unit in the right location at the right time, then we’ll make it work.”
According to Sally and Iain, each of its current five branches has seen sales up year-on-year, which they attribute to more repeat bookers, higher average spend and its Wisbech store recently moving to a new location with a higher footfall.
