Stuba has paid tribute to its former Business Development Manager Joanne Muir, who has died at the age of 54.
In a statement, Stuba said: “Joanne served as Stuba’s BDM for the North for many years, during which time she built strong, trusted relationships across the travel trade and became a highly valued member of the team. She stepped away from her role only when her health no longer allowed her to continue.”
Joanne left Stuba in July last year. Stuba’s statement added: “Widely respected throughout the industry, Joanne was known for her exceptional commitment to supporting travel agents, but her warmth, humour, positive spirit and remarkable courage have left a huge mark on all those who knew her. She made a lasting impact on colleagues, partners, and friends alike.
“Stuba extends its heartfelt condolences to Joanne’s husband John, her family, friends, and her beloved dog Bella.”
Chief Commercial Officer Matt Stuart said: “All of the Stuba family are devastated at the passing of Jo. She really was a travel legend and loved by all who met her. She embraced life to the max, had a wonderful sense of humour and leaves an incredible legacy. Her cheerfulness in the face of adversity in the last few years has been so inspiring for us all. She will be missed by us and the rest of the travel community every day.”
