Strike action suspended at Heathrow

Some 800 Heathrow workers who were planning to strike this week have suspended their walkout after receiving an improved pay offer.

The staff who assist passengers with restricted mobility have called off strikes that had been due to take place from 16-20 June.

The Wilson James workers will now be balloted on the new offer over the coming days.

Unite regional officer Martin West said: “Following an improved offer from Wilson James, Unite has suspended strikes in order to ballot its members on the new offer.”
