Specialist Holidays Group (SHG) is repeating its Junior Hotel Inspector fam trip programme for agents and their children this year.
The scheme involves children and their adult plus-ones visiting a property or properties featured in the SHG programme and reviewing them from a young person’s point of view, assessing everything from kids’ clubs and pools to food and evening entertainment.
The idea was introduced by Classic Collection in 2024, then continued by SHG after Classic Collection closed down.
SHG Head of Trade Partnerships Jorge Quibell said: “The Junior Hotel Inspector programme was one of the most loved initiatives we ran last year, and we’re delighted to bring it back.
“It gives children a genuine voice in how family holidays are experienced and reviewed and gives us and our agent partners great information in terms of what makes a really great family holiday, from a children’s perspective.”
To enter, children must submit a drawing or painting of their favourite holiday memory. Winners will be selected to take part in an inspection trip later this year. The destination is yet to be announced.
The competition opens on Friday (17 July) and entries must be received by 16 August. Winners will be announced the same day.
Entries can be submitted via the SHG Agent Suite or the group’s Facebook agent page.
