Terrorists have carried out a fatal attack in Kahramankazan, about 40kms northwest of central Ankara.
In an update to its travel advice yesterday, the Foreign Office, said a number of deaths and casualties had been reported. It added: “The security response is ongoing. If you are in the immediate area follow the advice of the local authorities and monitor local media.”
It was later confirmed that five people had died – including two attackers – and 22 were wounded.
The attack was on Turkish Aerospace Industries’ facilities and the Government believes it was carried out by guerrilla group, the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
