Aaron Petty has become the first agent to join Seaside Travel’s newly launched homeworking group, Seaside At Home.
Aaron joins from Hays Travel, where he spent two years in retail, and the last five as a Personal Travel Consultant for Hays’ homeworking division.
He starts his new role as the first Seaside At Home homeworker today (4 August).
Aaron, who was one of Hays’ top sellers, said he decided to move for a ‘fresh start’, and was keen to join after learning former Hays Head of Homeworking John Milburn was returning to travel to set up Seaside At Home.
He said: “Seaside Travel has got an amazing reputation, it’s a local company to me and I will be able to hot desk in the stores, which means I won’t be at home 100% of the time. I have missed the office crack.
“John’s sound. He always has time for his homeworkers, he’s personable and very approachable, even outside of work hours. He’s a long-standing presence in the industry.
“I’m super excited to join Seaside At Home in its infancy.”
John said: “I can confirm that Aaron is our first official Seaside At Home homeworker. We said we wanted to bring on board people with established businesses. Aaron’s got a great business and we are confident that we can help develop it further.”
Last month, John told Travel Gossip he wants to take on between 10 and 20 homeworkers by the end of the year. Seaside Travel, which is part of the Hays Independence Group, has 13 branches in the North East.
