Popular Business Development Manager Lorraine Adams has stepped down from her role at Unique Vacations, where she has represented Sandals and Beaches Resorts for the last 24 years and seven months.
Lorraine, who was BDM for London and the South East, left this week. She said it wasn’t an easy decision to make but added: “The time is right for me to embark on a new chapter.”
On a LinkedIn post, she said: “This has been a carefully considered decision, but I feel that the time is right to explore fresh opportunities.
“I will miss everyone I have had the pleasure of working with over the years in the UK, Europe and further afield. It’s been an absolute privilege to contribute to the ongoing success of the UK sales team. I am proud to have received numerous awards for my sales performance during my career, but none of it would have been possible without the incredible support I have received along the way.
“To my colleagues, travel agents, tourist boards and all those I have collaborated with – thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, encouragement and friendship, which has meant the world to me. Whilst it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I am hopeful that we will stay connected.”
In a post on the Sandals agent Facebook group, Sandals said: “Lorraine dedicated almost 25 years to our brands and we’re incredibly grateful for her hard work, determination and fun vibrant personality.
“From the entire UK team, we want to thank Lorraine and wish her the best of luck in this next chapter of her life.”
Agents responded to the post, describing Lorraine as a ‘true ambassador’, ‘brilliant BDM’ and a ‘wonderful rep… forever smiling and always contactable’.
Lorraine said she plans to take some time off and will make a decision about her next move after she gets married in June. The wedding will take place at Sandals South Coast in Jamaica.
