Ryanair is extending its seasonal summer service from Teesside Airport to Malaga to year-round.
The route, which launched earlier this year on 31 March 2025, was due to stop in late October at the end of the summer season.
However, the twice-weekly service has been extended with flights operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the winter, with seats to go on sale imminently.
Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “It was great to deliver on my pledge to bring back Malaga – people were asking for it and we delivered.
“We’re working round the clock to bring more flights to our departure boards – we know there’s a huge demand to get more flights to more destinations, and we’re determined to make Teesside the thriving airport we know it can be.”
Ryanair also operates thrice-weekly flights to Alicante from Teesside as well as services to Faro. Flights to Corfu from Teesside will also return in June.
Teesside Airport Managing Director Phil Forster said: “It’s great to see Ryanair has made this further commitment to us as part of their ongoing partnership with us.
“We’re always working to secure more flights for destinations holidaymakers want to see – we’re out trying to get our name out there, and show people across Teesside, across the North East and across the North of England that we are a great option for a flight abroad.”
