VIVA Cruises is holding a one-hour webinar for travel agents and tour operators on the impact of high and low water levels on river cruises.
The session, ‘Navigating High & Low Water Levels’, will be hosted on 30 September by Michelle Daniels, Director Sales – UK & Ireland and Australia & New Zealand, as well as a senior member of the VIVA operations team.
VIVA said they will provide first-hand insight into how changing water levels are monitored and managed, including how variable water levels can affect river cruises and what this means for itineraries.
They will also explain how VIVA is managing these situations and what agents need to tell their clients.
The session will conclude with a live Q&A so agents can put their questions directly to the VIVA team.
“Water levels are understandably one of the key talking points when selling river cruise, and there can be uncertainty around what this actually means in practice,” said Michelle.
“We want to take agents behind the scenes, explain how our operations team monitors and responds to different situations, and give practical information and insight to use in customer conversations.
“Our aim isn’t simply to talk about water levels, but to help agents understand the operational decisions that sit behind an itinerary and how we work to successfully minimise any disruption.”
