Princess Cruises refunds passengers following air con and toilet issues

Princess Cruises is refunding some passengers onboard Grand Princess after they experienced air conditioning and plumbing issues.

The ship, which left Los Angeles on 15 September, is on a 16-night repositioning cruise to Fort Lauderdale, having finished its season in Alaska.

Guests in some cabins have reported issues with air conditioning units, while others have experienced problems with the toilets.

A Princess Cruises spokesperson told Travel Gossip: “At Princess Cruises, guest satisfaction and comfort are our highest priorities, and we regret any inconvenience caused to Grand Princess guests who have experienced discomfort due to air conditioning and plumbing issues.

“Our technical teams have been actively working to resolve the situation, and we expect the issues to be addressed before the ship’s next scheduled departure in Fort Lauderdale.

“As a gesture of goodwill, affected guests will receive a full refund of the cruise fare for the days the voyage was impacted.

“In addition, we are offering a 25% Future Cruise Credit to be applied toward a future Princess cruise.”

The cruise line thanked affected guests for their patience.
