Princess Cruises and MSC Cruises have unveiled their 2028 Alaska programmes, adding hundreds of sailings.
Princess Cruises will open sales for its 2028 Alaska programme on 14 August, featuring 185 departures across 14 itineraries.
The season will operate across eight ships, including the new ship Star Princess, with sailings ranging from four to 16 nights.
Departures are planned from Seattle, Vancouver, Anchorage (Whittier), San Francisco and Los Angeles, with itineraries calling at 16 destinations including Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway.
The line has scheduled 86 visits to Glacier Bay National Park, alongside scenic cruising in Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord and Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier.
‘Voyage of the Glaciers’ sailings between Anchorage and Vancouver will return, alongside roundtrip Inside Passage cruises from various homeports on the west coast including Vancouver and San Francisco.
Cruisetours combining sailings with land stays will also be available, including visits to Denali National Park and stays at Princess-owned wilderness lodges.

Meanwhile, MSC Cruises has opened sales for its summer 2028 Alaska season, marking its third year in the region.
MSC Poesia will operate weekly seven-night itineraries from Seattle between 24 April and 18 September 2028, starting from £669.
The ship has recently undergone a major refurbishment, including the addition of an MSC Yacht Club with 69 suites, butler service and private facilities, as well as new dining venues including Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar.
Itineraries will include calls to Ketchikan, the Indigenous-owned Icy Strait Point, Alaska’s capital Juneau, Tracy Arm for fjords and glaciers and Victoria, British Columbia.
Between Alaska seasons, MSC Poesia will operate Grand Voyage sailings through the Panama Canal, connecting Miami and Seattle.
