Premier Holidays has introduced a new three-territory structure for its sales team, which it said will strengthen and maximise sales opportunities within the UK travel trade.
Under the new structure, there are three dedicated Business Development Managers covering the south, the east and the west of the country.
Previously, the operator had two BDMs; Nicky Bird, who left to join Holiday Best in January, and Rachel Wood, who is leaving to join Fred. Holidays in May in the new role of Business Development Manager for the Midlands.
Premier said Rachel had made a ‘significant’ impact and ‘will be greatly missed’. She will be working alongside Sales and Marketing Director Debbie Goffin to ensure a ‘seamless’ transition for the new team, it said.
Hayley Smith (top left) has joined as BDM for the south and Scotland, Louisa Smith (right) becomes BDM for the east, and Rachel Small (middle) has taken on the role of BDM for the west and Northern Ireland.
“This new trade team is all about supporting our agent partners and keeping Premier Holidays top of mind for the Channel Islands and our long-haul tailor-made destinations,” said Debbie.
“We have always been 100% committed to the trade, and we are now taking this commitment one step further with this new team.”
Rachel Wood (inset) joins Fred. Holidays on 6 May, reporting to Head of Business Development Laura Wilson.

Holidays during this exciting time of growth,” said Rachel. “I can’t wait to work with their existing agents to increase sales, and also to introduce new agents to the brand and the extensive range of cruise- and land-based product that they offer.”
Director of Tour Operations Tricia Birmingham added: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel who is highly respected and has a number of years’ experience, most notably in cruise and tour operating .
