P&O Cruises invites agents to Pride of Britain launch

Around 40 agents boarded P&O Cruises’ Britannia for the launch of the Pride of Britain Awards, where they mingled with the shows co-hosts Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo.

Last year’s award winners were also at the launch, which took place as the ship, celebrating it’s 10thanniversary this year, was docked in Southampton on Friday.

It’s the first time P&O Cruises has sponsored the awards, which were launched by the Daily Mirror 25 years ago.

The cruise line hosted last year’s winners on cruises with their families. Addressing them at the Pride of Britain launch, P&O Cruises President Paul Ludlow said: “Thank you for making Britain so, so proud.”

He added: “P&O Cruises’ partnership of the Pride of Britain Awards is more than just a sponsorship. It’s a reflection of the commitment to recognising and  honoruing the exceptional people who inspire and uplift us.

“We believe in the importance of being together, in the strength that comes from unity and in the joy of celebrating each other’s successes.

“It is these values that have driven us to partner with Pride of Britain.”
