Personal Travel Consultants sets new target after sales surge 10%

The Personal Travel Consultants in partnership with Blue Bay Travel (PTCs) has reported sales up 10% year-on-year, with average booking value increasing by the same amount, to £4,700.

The group announced the results at its annual conference, held last week in Cyprus.

Delegates heard cruise sales have increased 25% year-on-year, and the average holiday duration is 10 nights. Turkey has outperformed The Maldives for the first time, demonstrating a growing demand among customers for high quality short-haul holidays.

PTC Group Manager Abbie Heaton said the group has set a target to beat this year’s sales by 20% for 2026.

She said: “Notwithstanding an overall decline in consumer appetite and thus volume of annual holidays, overall sales have remained steady.

“This indicates that consumers are enhancing the value of their trips, choosing longer stays, multi-generational holidays, and higher-quality experiences, which is reflected in the PTCs’ figures. This conference really bonded the team and set the tone for our 2026 strategy of increasing sales for the year ahead.

“We’re thrilled with how the business has performed over the last few years, and that’s in no small part down to the hard work and dedication of our growing team of PTCs.

“Sales through self-generated customer leads for our homeworkers now accounts for 70% and we expect this to be 80% by the end of the year, versus sales through customer leads generated by Blue Bay Travel. Our PTCs receive 65% commission on any sales through self-generated leads, so this shift indicates a really thriving group of agents.”
