EDreams ODIGEO says it has deployed a fully automated end-to-end booking system, removing the need for human intervention.
The world’s biggest travel subscription platform says 30% of its code is now generated by AI, giving it ‘agentic capabilities’ to execute an entire travel booking from start to finish.
Agentic systems are capable of breaking down complex jobs into smaller steps, using tools, APIs and software to execute tasks independently. They can adjust their responses based on new information.
Additionally, eDreams claims to have launched pioneering customer support via an AI voice, which it says has delivered ‘double-digit improvements in customer satisfaction and accuracy rates’.
An AI voice can talk and listen naturally and handle some tasks independently. Chief Technology Officer Carsten Bernhard said the AI innovations will help it to grow its Prime subscription membership to 13 million by the end of the decade.
“Our leadership in AI is a competitive moat built over more than a decade and is the bedrock of our business,” he said.
“Today, we are setting a new industry standard by not only generating 30% of our code through AI but also deploying agentic capabilities that can execute complex tasks autonomously.
“AI is the engine of our business, and from this position of strength, we are scaling these innovations to further enhance the experience for our members as we head toward our target of 13 million Prime subscribers by 2030.”
