Operator sees bookings from homeworkers nearly double following investment

Newmarket Holidays says bookings across its homeworker channel have increased almost 99% year-on-year, with passenger numbers up 85% over the past three months.

It says the rise follows increased investment and Ryan Readman’s move into a dedicated homeworker role as Trade Partnerships Manager earlier this year.

Ryan has been focusing on strengthening relationships with home-based agents and providing tailored support to help them with their touring sales, it said.

The surge in sales has been driven predominantly by long-haul sales, added Newmarket, with its Safari South Africa – Mabula tour one of its best sellers.

The tours operator has also launched a homeworkers hub, giving agents access to personalised marketing materials, training resources and rewards.

It said further initiatives are planned, including a Homeworker Focus Month, with 10 events across the UK for around 200 homeworkers.  The operator is also introducing a new loyalty programme, appreciation events for top sellers, and a dedicated homeworker fam trip in 2027.

“Over the last three months, we’ve seen fantastic growth across our homeworker accounts, reflecting the strong partnerships we’ve built with home-based travel specialists,” said Ryan.

“Our focus has always been on providing the right support, tools and resources to help agents grow their touring sales.

“The launch of our new Homeworkers Hub is another important step in making it easier for homeworkers to access the training, marketing support and inspiration they need. While they may work remotely, they’re never working alone.”

Head of Trade Sales and Partnerships Hayley Morris added: “We’ve seen fantastic momentum across our homeworker partners, with bookings almost doubling year on year.

“This growth reflects the strength of the relationships we’ve built and our commitment to giving homeworkers the support they need to succeed.“We’re continuing to invest in the homeworker community through new tools, events and educational opportunities, ensuring our partners have everything they need to grow successful touring businesses.”
