Direct-sell operator Firefly Holidays has entered voluntary liquidation after 10 years in business.
The company, based near Abingdon, sold high-quality trips to holiday villages, camping resorts and ski resorts in Europe, as well as long-haul holidays including Guadeloupe and elsewhere in the Caribbean.
Stephen Powell and Simon Lowes from BTG Begbies Traynor were appointed joint liquidators on 4 August and a winding-up order was agreed on 7 August, according to The Gazette.
A statement on the company’s website say: “After 10 fantastic years, Firefly Holidays is no longer taking bookings. It’s been our absolute honour to help our customers experience amazing holidays and award-winning adventures. Now the Firefly team are taking our own road-trip towards new destinations.
“Although Firefly Holidays is no longer taking bookings, we’re happy to help valued customers and new contacts with any travel questions and advice.”
