Luxury cruise line Oceania announced it has converted previously announced options for two new ships into firm orders.
The ships will be delivered in 2032 and 2035.
They will be Sonata-class ships, the first of which, Oceania Sonata, will join the Oceania fleet in 2027, followed by Oceania Arietta in 2029.
Oceania Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague confirmed the new orders at a delivery ceremony in Genoa for Oceania’s newest ship, Oceania Allura, which is the second of its Allura class and the eighth in the fleet.
“I am delighted to confirm we will be adding two more Sonata Class vessels to our fleet. We are proud to continue our legacy of innovation alongside Fincantieri, our shipbuilding partner for close to 20 years,” he said.
“These four Sonata Class ships will herald the next stage in the evolution of the Oceania Cruises brand of exceptional small-ship luxury experiences.”
Oceania Allura’s maiden voyage will be from Trieste, in Italy on 18 July.
