Norse forced to cancel two Bangkok flights

Norse Atlantic Airways has blamed operational and technical issues for the last-minute cancellation of two flights between the UK and Bangkok.

Its flight from Bangkok to London Gatwick was grounded yesterday, as was its flight from Manchester to Bangkok. Both were due to be operated by Boeing 787s.

Norse launched the four-times-a-week service from Gatwick in late October 2025, and the weekly service from Manchester at the end of November.

In a statement, it said: “Due to a mix of operational and technical challenges, we unfortunately needed to make two recent cancellations on our Bangkok routes.

“The team worked tirelessly to mitigate, but it was not possible to avoid the two cancellations.”

It added: “Our Manchester and London routes to Bangkok have been very popular and we have high regularity on these routes.

“Affected passengers are asked to follow instructions shared by us, or see our service portal at Flynorse.com”
