New Travel founder brings in former colleague as Director

Ex-Cruise1st Managing Director Dale Sourbutts has signed up his former Althams Travel colleague Paul Foster as Director of his recently launched homeworking business.

Dale (pictured above, right) set up New Travel Holidays under Advantage Travel Partnership’s Advantage Managed Services in April, with plans grow the business by taking on self-employed homeworkers.

Former colleague Paul Foster (pictured above, left) has now invested in the business and started working with Dale this month as a co-director.

The pair first worked together 30 years ago at Althams Travel. Dale became MD of Cruise1st in 2019, then left after COVID to take time out to be a stay-at-home dad before setting up New Travel.

Paul moved to a business travel agency, ATP International, then returned to Althams as Business Travel Manager, a position he successfully held for 18 years before taking a career break this year.

Paul said: “After speaking with Dale about his plans and vision for New Travel, it didn’t take much convincing for me to return to the industry I’ve loved all my life. I’m excited to be part of this journey and to help New Travel grow and thrive.”

Dale said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Paul on board. With his wealth of knowledge, experience and passion, I have no doubt that together we can take New Travel to the next level.”

New Travel Holidays is looking for around five or six experienced self-employed homeworkers to join the team.
