Namibia has confirmed that UK tourists will need to apply for a visa on arrival from 1 April.
In an update to its travel advice posted today, the UK Foreign Office said the visas will be available to buy on arrival at Namibian entry points.
It said further information will be issued by the Government of Namibia.
Currently, Namibia allows visa-free travel for UK visitors, for up to 90 days at a time.
While there has been no confirmation of the cost of the new tourist visa, a post by Southern African destination management company ATI Holidays said it had been told to expect it to be about £68 for multiple entry, valid for 90 days.
ATI said there will also be an option to apply online in advance of travel from 3 March, but these details have yet to be confirmed.
