MSC Cruises is to base MSC Opera in the southern Caribbean for both winter 2026/2027 and summer 2027.
It will be the first time the cruise line has deployed a ship in the area during the summer.
MSC Opera will offer a range of seven-night itineraries, with passengers able to combine them for a 14-night ‘butterfly’ cruise.
Ports of call include, among others, the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, the British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, the Netherlands Antilles.
MSC Opera will homeport in La Romana, Dominican Republic, with the first cruise departing on 16 November 2026. From April 2027, the ship will also offer a second embarkation port, Fort de France in Martinique.
Itinerary highlights include stops in Catalina Island in the Dominican Republic, Fort-de-France in Martinique, Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands and St. John’s in Antigua and Barbuda.
Other destinations include Oranjestad in Aruba, Bridgetown in Barbados, Kralendijk in Bonaire, Saint Eustatius, Willemstad in Curacao, Samana Bay in the Dominican Republic, Saint George in Grenada, Pointe-a-Pitre in Guadeloupe, Philipsburg in the Netherlands Antilles, Basseterre in Saint Kitts and Nevis and Road Town in the British Virgin Islands.
MSC Opera joins MSC Seaview in the southern Caribbean for winter 26/27, which will offer seven-night sailings from its homeport in Fort-de-France to destinations including Pointe-a-Pitre in Guadeloupe, Philipsburg in Sint Maarten and St. John’s in Antigua and Barbuda.
