MSC Cruises has cancelled a transatlantic crossing on MSC Lirica this November.
The ship had been due to depart on a 21-night cruise from Venice to Santos, Brazil on 7 November, but MSC has said the cruise has now been cancelled due to ‘operational reasons’.
A spokesperson for the line told Travel Gossip that MSC Lirica will remain in the Eastern Mediterranean, but has not yet released information on the ship’s itineraries.
A statement also confirmed that MSC Sinfonia will replace MSC Lirica’s sailings from Brazil.
Passengers can receive a refund, transfer to a similar transatlantic cruise or switch to another cruise. Passengers who opt for another transatlantic cruise will be reimbursed for non-refundable air travel fees and get a €75 onboard credit.
