VIVA Cruises has appointed Michelle Daniels to the newly created role of Country Manager for the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
Michelle was previously UK Sales Director at A-ROSA River Cruises, but her role was made redundant in a restructure last year. She has also worked at Light Blue Travel.
Michelle will focus on expanding the German cruise line’s business in the four markets, working closely with agents, operators and other industry partners.
The new role follows the departure of Daryl Kornelsen, who joined last year as Head of Global Sales for the UK and Nordics, but has now left the company.
VIVA Cruises CEO Andrea Kruse said: “We are thrilled to welcome Michelle to the VIVA Cruises family. Her appointment underscores our commitment to the UK market and our international strategy.
“Michelle’s expertise and passion for the travel industry will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate as a premium international brand. We are confident that her leadership will help us achieve our ambitious goals and further enhance our reputation as Europe’s leading river cruise specialist.”
Michelle said: “I am truly excited to contribute to the river cruise specialist’s continued international success and growth. I look forward to working with our partners and customers to deliver unforgettable river cruise experiences and to further expand our presence in these key markets, including the UK.”
In 2026 VIVA will launch a new, all-inclusive boutique line, VIVA Boutique, starting with sailings on the Seine.
It is revamping a ship from parent company Scylla, which will be renamed VIVA BEYOND and become the first ship in the new boutique fleet.
