Kelly Green recently joined Virgin Voyages as UK Sales Manager, bringing her extensive experience from previous roles including at Hays Travel , Club Voyages and TUI. Travel Gossip found out a little more about Kelly and her new role.
I never travel without… Percy Pigs. You never know when you will get delayed, stuck in traffic, or just have a bad day – Percy makes everything seem OK.
The famous person (dead or alive) I’d most like to sit next to on a plane is… Lady Gaga. The woman is an icon.
My weakness is… my cat Leo. He has me wrapped around his little paw.
The next place I’ll visit is… Greece for a travel conference – excited to be back in one of our summer homeports.
The worst thing I ate or drank abroad was… Raki. It was delicious but my friend and I had one too many.
My bucket-list destination is… Bali.
Born and brought up in… Bolton.
Live in… Westhoughton (near Bolton).
The best piece of advice I’ve been given is… always tell the truth.
If I could eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be… Sunday roast with all the trimmings and my grandma’s onion stuffing.
The emoji I use most often is… the heart emoji♥️
The thing I miss most while travelling is… my kids. They might be grown up now (aged 22 and 18) but you never stop missing them or worrying about them.
When I left school, I wanted to be… cabin crew.
The thing I’m most proud of is… my family.
In my new role, I’ll be… committed, transparent, and supportive in every interaction – empowering my colleagues and our advisors (First Mates) while championing the Virgin Voyages brand to reach even greater heights of growth and success.
What attracted me to the job was… the team and the opportunity. When I first saw the job advert on LinkedIn, I read it about five times before finally plucking up the courage to message [Sales Director] SJ [Walker] to find out more – it felt more like a dream than something that could actually become reality. Virgin Voyages was one of the first cruise lines I ever set sail on, and it completely captured my heart. The boldness, innovation, and encouragement to be unapologetically yourself introduced me to a completely new way of travel.
